Same blood as the pigeon in South Africa that was 3rd overall on the final race and probably the first Champion Bird (PURDEY) from 7800 birds sent from all over the world.

A very generous donation to the America Pigeon Museum and Library from John Georgegopolus of Greek Connection lofts. I first met John about 2 years ago when out of the blue he called to introduce himself and talk pigeons. We have since become very good friends and share both pigeons and our experiences. John is a relative new comer to pigeon racing, just getting involved a couple if years ago. But he has been raising pigeons most of his life. He has a family of what he calls divers. These birds are amazing. He lets them out and the go up so high u can't see them, he then throws a few droppers on the ground and all of a sudden it's raining divers. They fall so fast you can actually see the bloom coming off them like a trail behind them. Hard to explain how amazing these birds are but I promise you when they start coming down you will step back for fear of getting knocked out. His love for pigeons has made him one of the most passionate pigeon racers I have ever met. He doesn't hesitate to pick up the phone and call anyone to talk birds. Over the past two years he has spared no expense in acquiring top quality racers. He is one of the top fliers in the club and combine in South Carolina and is quickly making a name for himself in the one loft races. These birds will be an asset to anyone's loft and a sincere thank you to John for this generous donation!
