IF 2013 WC 5493 BB H

IF 2013 WC5493 BB Hen “Blue Back”This hen is dam to 1st drop 2014 Twister Race 325 Miles!

 Donated by Kolvenbag & Son

Kolvenbag & Son have a small loft of 12 pair performance based breeders for participation in one loft races. These are birds performing in the recent years, not decades ago. The pedigrees are filled with performance in every generation, not generations back. In recent years they have had many successes, eg twice 2nd Ace bird in the Mercedes Classic (2011 and 2013), 1st Breeders Fall Classic 150 mile 277 birds, 2nd Phoenixville Open 300m, 1st 300m Mercedes Classic, 3rd 350m Oklahoma Twister, 4th AIC 350m and this year already e1st or 5th (3 seconds from 1st) on 350 mile race against 114 birds and 26th on a very very tough 300 mile against 423 birds, resulting in 21st avg speed against 557 entries (Blue Bucket). In addition to the individual bird success, there were also successes as loft competitions such as 3rd Loft Champion 2013 Mercedes Classic 71 lofts, 3rd Loft Canadian Int Challenge average speed for 2 bird team 7 races 1525m 1600 entries, 5th Loft Champion 2011 Mercedes Classic 120 lofts etc. See www.kolvenbagandson.com or visit us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/geert.kolvenbag Blue Back is a really nice handling hen, a real mother-type. She was bred for stock given her close relationship to Sexyback: Sexyback was 36th grand average Million Dollar Pigeon Race. As you know it is extremely difficult to get birds back out of S Africa. So Blue Back is daughter from Barracuda (sire to Sexyback) and Mona (grdam to Sexyback). Blue back is (half)sister to many good racers and breeders. Most recently her half brother bred “Decadenta” winning e1st 350m Blue Bucket Challenge. Two half-sisters of Blue Back (one from Mona and one from Barracuda; as they are not together in 2014) are entered in the MDPR this year !! Sire: 2010 CU 5327 DC Aarden "Barracuda": he won 13th on the 350m Canadian International Challenge with only 17 daybirds out of 446 birds / 1100 entries. Sire to Sexyback 36th gr avg MDPR. Also this year there is a youngster of him in the MDPR Dam: 2007 CU 3432 BB Aarden "Mona" is a foundation hen for Kolvenbag & Son. Mona won 4th in the 350m Empire Classic when only 29 daybirds from the 820 birds made it home on the day. Two weeks later she was 10th on the 420m Empire Classic when only 10 daybirds vs 139b made it home on the day. She is dam and grdam to several good racers/breeders. Some of the children of Mona are: -”Ditto” won 38th avgsp AIC against 733 entries. Ditto is sire to Decadenta in the 2014 Blue Bucket Challenge OLR. Decadenta won e1st or 5th (3 seconds from 1st) on 350 mile race against 114 birds and 26th on a very very tough 300 mile against 423 birds, resulting in 21st avg speed against 557 entries. Ditto is also sire to Purple Haze: 1st, 3rd and 3rd on 100 mile races in the Royal Challenge. - “Dot” day bird on each 300-325-350-375 mile races in Canadian Int Challenge – incl very hard races – 47th 350m 58 daybirds from 294 birds and 38th Acebird against 1600 birds- Always Home before Dark. - “Lisa” wins 11th hard 255m, 12th avg speed Espo’s ECC (4 races). Lisa is dam to Sexyback (36th Grand Avg MDPR). Lisa is also dam to Karlittle (1st Breeders Fall Classic 150 mile 277 birds) and WC5415 (2nd Phoenixville Open 300m) Blue back comes from a family consistently performing on hard races. She will be an addition to any breeding loft with aspiration to be in the top on the hard races.
