Quality Eyebox #1 for Safe Viewing If you want to look at pigeon eyes, do it the easy, safe way. This quality eyebox will give you uniform light every day with no chance of burning a fragile eyeball. You can now accurately judge the pupil size because the light intensity is the same every time you use the box (day or night). You can also judge relative pupil flex because the foot pedal allows you to rapidly turn spotlight off and on. Both hands are free to hold the bird steady.
Size of assembled eyebox is 12” x 19” x 6” and after edges are sanded, we paint it inside and out in white. Sides are ¼” plywood. Other wood components are pine. Top metal handle for easy carry and nail hole on back for wall hanging.
All electrical components are new: two ceramic fixtures inside for a 25W bulb (you buy bulb locally) that is a constant light source so you can focus the eye. Second fixture is for the spotlight (you also buy this bulb locally) that is activated by foot pedal. Foot pedal is metal. Comes with a 10x eye loupe (best for eyes because you get more focal length and enough magnification to see all eye features clearly).
