Black Check Cock … 8031/08 AU BROTZ ... 1st Fed 600M half-brother (by 58 minutes). <p>

This bird was produced by the Brotzler WONDER PAIR … “the best pair of breeders I had in 65+ years of flying,” David Brotzler of Minnesota said. Prior to Dave’s passing in March 2014, I graded all his pigeons. I rated this 8031 as having the best breeding eye and overall type of the sons of the WONDER PAIR he had.

The 8031/08 cock is a buoyant pigeon with an orange eye. From what I can see in the records, his young birds were either never raced by the recipients or never reported to David Brotzler. He is raring to go and ready to breed. His grandsire, BULL 775, was fertile in my loft in 2014 at 19 years of age (in an individual pen). Super longevity and super performance.

The sire, 4143, sired the Heartland Federation 1st 600M day bird in 2013 (58 minutes ahead). 4143 is a grandson of the great long-distance cock THE EQUALIZER (2x 1st 500M, 1st 600M). Dam of 4143 was a half-sister of Mike Mongeau’s DEAD TIME – 1st 600M New England Open (flying 643M, landing late pm in darkness).

The hen of the WONDER PAIR was 4215, a daughter of BULL 775 mated to an inbred daughter of FAST EDDIE, himself a great winner for Paul Rudolph of St. Paul, MN at 432M (Midwest Classic 1995 overall winner) and 600M.

The WONDER PAIR have bred Brotzler’s 6005/06 cock that flew South Africa (257th on day in final race). Also the 11040 hen that was 141st Avg Sp in the 2011 World Ace Challenge. Another daughter, 11031, bred the 63rd Avg Sp in the 2013/14 Sunshine State One Loft Race. Another son bred the 26th Avg Sp in the 2013 Flying Aces One Loft race. Another son (7051/07) was a 600M day bird. Another son, 8039, produced the =5th best 2014 YB in the Dynamo Loft 2014 Extreme Selection Program. And so on.

David Brotzler passed away on March 14, 2014 … one day short of his 82nd birthday. We sold several of his birds in early 2014. Now that fall has come, we are offering the rest. All the culling is done. These are the best from a loft with 65 years of successful flying in several Minneapolis/St.Paul clubs, as well as his high placings in major one-loft races.
