Blue Bar Hen … 44542/14 AU AA ... Daughter of MW Classic Outstanding Bird <p>

Here’s one of two daughters of CLASSIC 07 I’ve ever offered for sale (and the full sister is also offered this week … 44529). These two young hens will be the only two I offer sired by him this spring. CLASSIC 07 was voted the Outstanding Bird in the 2007 Midwest Classic because he was 1st in the 500M Class (flying 531M on the day) by 41 minutes.

This 44542/14 hen is virtually identical to her full sister 44529/14. Both are small/medium, well muscled with excellent orange eyes.

They were produced in an individual breeding pen (like all my racing pigeons since 1983). Especially if you want to linebreed, why would you buy a bird bred in a community loft? In tests in my own feeder lofts 20 years ago, I had at least 50 percent illegitimacy that I could document. That’s because male pigeons spend all day, every day trying to breed with any hen they can. Anyone who tells you otherwise hasn’t watched their own community loft “orgy.”

The sire of 44542 and 44529 is 5470/05 … CLASSIC 07 … voted Outstanding Bird in the 2007 Midwest Classic v 3,570 pigeons from several Midwestern states. CLASSIC 07 earned his name and his title by topping the 500M class by 41 minutes. He is a mix of Calia Janssen and Verbruggen that really showed he can get out front and win! Furthermore, in the Extreme Selection Program I set up for YBs in 2014, he was the 1st place sire!

The dam of these two hens is a beautiful blue bar double granddaughter of NAPOLEON (2nd National Ace One Day Long Distance NL 1997). He was purchased by Campbell Strange a couple of years before his big final auction. NAPOLEON was bought by a southern flyer for $10,000 at the auction. I bought him from that flyer in late 2001. I ended up selling many of his YBs, then decided a few years ago that I wanted to reinforce that family again. So I bought back the 8264 son and 8298 daughter from their purchaser. I made that half-brother x half-sister mating in 2013. The 27842 hen (dam of 44542 and 44529) was the best hen from that mating.

I am making this young daughter of CLASSIC 07 available because I have another full sister and a full brother going into the breeding loft. I literally cannot tell them apart unless I pick them up and look at the bands. That’s how close in quality they are !!!
