 Description

Red Check Hen - 39342/18 AU AA is LDHA:AB

LDHA:AB. Both parents tested by Gene Check.

Parents kept in individual pen during entire mating cycle. I have no “henny” cocks in my hen pen. Any hens exposed to a cock is then isolated for 2-3 weeks before being bred again. Four studies have been done on pigeons bred in community lofts. Even with nestfronts, illegitimacy ranged from 3% – 50% or more. If you buy young birds bred in community lofts, every pedigree is suspect in that loft. I have been breeding my Racing Pigeons in individual pens since 1983.

Red Wolverine 39342/18 AU AA. If you want to start adding the LDHA A gene for increased lactic acid processing during flight, here's your start. Sire tested AA by Gene Check in Colorado. Dam tested BB. All youngsters from mating will be AB. If you mate an AB to another AB, 1/4 of youngsters will be AA (on average); 1/2 will be AB (on average). Parent certificates come with youngster.

Sire (199) is linebred to Roger Florizoone's Barcelona family. His WITNEUS cock sired the 1999 1st National Barcelona winner (Belgium). The 199 is a grandson of the famous MOLENAARKE hen (full sister of WITNEUS). Dam of 199 down from WITNEUS half-brother. The 199 cock has sired race and show winners.

Dam (13002) is arguably the best flying hen in my loft. And she produced my best two flying hens in 2015 and 2016 mated to different cocks. She was 1st Hi Point Bird in the 2013 Flying Aces One Loft Race. that includes being the 2nd of only three birds on the second day from 350M (there were no day birds).

13002 was held over by Dale Golla (race manager) and flown as yearling. She had several high places in the Twin Cities Combine. Then she was pooled for the Midwest Classic (flying 434M). She won the Flying Aces pool and was 18th overall in the entire race against 3,878 birds flying 300M-600M into 10 different states. What a hen!!! And she has been a super breeder down from David Brotzler long distance family and the old Dr. Chris Rogers Van Loons from Campbell Strange.

The 39342 hen will be small/medium as adult. Excellent feather and body. Born 7/2/18.
